Exhaust U-Clamps, or other monikers such as U-Bolt Clamps/U-Clips/Exhaust Clamp, are generally used for automotive purposes to fix/join exhaust pipes together, thereby foregoing the need for welding. Refer to photo for example.
As well as being used to improve the performance of vehicles, Exhaust Clamps also have other non-automotive uses, such as holding pipes or tubes in place on both the interior or exterior of a property.
As the exhaust pipes inlet and outlet are joined together hence there will be a slight change in pipe size, the clamp width of the U-Clamp is always slightly bigger than the standard pipe size by approx 4-5mm. (Example: Standard 1-1/2" / 1.5" Pipe is 38mm, the width of the standard 1-1/2" / 1.5" U-Clamp is 42mm.)
Please be informed there actual value may differ from given values due to tolerance ± 1-3mm.
